We’re passionate about helping San Diego baseball players and softball players achieve their full potential and pursue their dreams. We tailor our baseball training according to age and level of play:
DEVELOPMENT MEMBERSHIP
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS (12 & Up)
Our main service is a monthly membership, with year-round training options to fit your schedule and season. Membership is made up of bi/tri-weekly integrated strength and conditioning and skill training sessions (hitting, pitching, or both). Membership includes a mechanical assessment, movement screening, physical testing, and baseball-specific data capture during your first session. We use this data to put together a personalized training plan and goals that we will share with the player, using data and testing to monitor progress. If you want to play at the next level, Union Baseball Systems is the place to be.
College Players
We lead both summer and winter break programs for college players that are trying to raise their ceiling and increase their overall power and strength in a baseball-specific manner.
Pro Players
During the offseason, we provide special gym hours for pro athletes that want specialized training or just want to get their work done.

S2 COGNITION
We are proud to be an official S2 Testing Center. The S2 Evaluation is a digital assessment that measures and quantifies an athlete’s ability to make crucial split-second decisions at game-speed, such as:

Perception Speed: “What is the pitch?”

Trajectory Prediction: “Where is the pitch?”

Timing Control: “When do I swing?”

Impulse Control: “Should I take this swing or not?”
This assessment is being used at the highest levels of the game to inform player development in Major League Baseball and the top college programs in the country including Tennessee, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Baylor, LSU, and others, and is now available here at Union Baseball Systems. Testing is open to the public.
Point Loma Lab
Our members have periodic access to Point Loma’s Biomechanics Lab, which is a partner of the San Diego Padres. The lab utilizes sophisticated motion capture, force platform, and ball tracking technologies to gather data on pitching, hitting, and fielding mechanics. Baseball biomechanics specialists from PLNU, led by Dr. Arnel Aguinaldo, will provide evidence-based interpretations of player performance and injury risk in concert with the Union Baseball team for each player based on analytics and expert evaluation.
